Print3D Offers Free IRONCAD Plug-In for Rapid Prototyping

REDDING, CA, Dec 10, 2008 - Print3D Corporation, a global provider of rapid prototyping services, today announced the release of Print3D for IRONCAD, its latest in a line of free CAD application plug-ins. Print3D Corporation is now an IronCAD Gold Partner for software and service solutions.

Users of the new version of IRONCAD can now receive instant quotes for plastic or metal versions of their 3D models through a one-click command on the IRONCAD file menu. The free download, available now at www.print3Dcorp.com, integrates a pricing engine into IRONCAD that instantly calculates guaranteed part quotes for every component of a CAD assembly. Designers can also order production and next-day delivery of the parts directly from the IRONCAD environment.

The new Print3D software product coincides with the newest update of IRONCAD, version 11.

"We believe the addition of the Print3D module will open up much easier access to high-quality rapid prototyping to our users," says Dr. Tao-Yang Han, President of IronCAD. "The free Print3D download provides a fast, very secure quote-and-order method. We view Print3D for IRONCAD 11 as a great enhancement for our customers who are using IRONCAD for product development."

The network of Print3D facilities fabricates and ships rapid prototypes and mass-production parts to clients worldwide. Most orders for Print3D stereolithography – the most common plastic rapid prototyping technique – come with next-day delivery.

Print3D Corporation is the first bureau to develop a secure offline plug-in as a means of quoting and ordering parts. Plug-ins for most major modelers are available for free download at www.print3Dcorp.com.

"We welcome the new Gold Partner agreement with IRONCAD and have enjoyed working closely with them to create Print3D for IRONCAD," says Print3D CEO Ron Barranco. "Physical prototypes are typically the first step to production of new product, and this new agreement makes big strides into giving IRONCAD users an easier path towards realization of their designs."
